TV: Prison Break

MushyFace and I have gotten into this awful habit.
The “habit” can be a topic for a whole other post, so please temporarily refrain from reprimanding me!
The baby girl will not sleep in her own bed unless she falls asleep in mine first.
After the princess falls asleep, MyMan will transport her like a ninja into the crib.
If we don’t do this ritual, she ends up crammed in my tiny bed a l l  n i g h t  l o n g.

In order for this ritual to happen, we will watch a few TV episodes until she FINALLY passes out.
We have already watched all of Dexter, Oz, Lost, and American Horror Story.
All of these shows were amazing with the exception of Oz.
Mushy loved Dexter!  She still dances when she hears the theme song!

The most recent show that we watched was Prison Break.

Prison Break was a great show.
…and, no, not just because of that hunky Wentworth Miller shown above…
It had the action and intensity that makes MyMan sit at the edge of his seat.
It also had the dramatic story line, mystery factors, and romance that keeps me intrigued.

Summary
**Some things mentioned here may been thought of as spoilers.**

The story is based around two brothers that were pretty much all each other ever had.
The older brother, Lincoln, was framed for a high-profile murder that he didn’t commit.
Since Lincoln couldn’t prove his innocence to anyone that mattered, he was sentenced to death.
His younger brother, Michael, could not live with that decision and decided to handle it himself.
You learn all of this fairly quickly, then the real JUICE begins.

Michael tattooed a map of the prison his brother was incarcerated in on his entire body.
…and, omg, was that yummy to see on his bare skin…
He then planned a master escape from beginning to end in order to save his brother.
An armed bank robbery and a confession later, Michael and Lincoln's adventure will begin.

They meet several fun characters along the way that you will grow to love.
Every twist and turn brings forth an event you can never predict.
I mean, they may have to break out of more than one prison.  Shh, I didn't tell you that!

Jax Rating

I give this show a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.
It lost a star because the 3rd season wasn't up to par with the rest, but it was still enjoyable.

Have you ever or will you ever see Prison Break? What's your review?

  1. Prison break is an awesome show indeed, the 1st season was amazing. 2 and 4 were good too, 3 was kinda meh though, so yeah 4 out of 5 isn't bad. Oz is like one of the only shows I couldn't finish, it was so damn boring I watched one season and that was too much to watch. So what one is next at your sea?

    2. Omg, Oz was terrible!!! I watched the whole series because my OCD doesn't let me finish something once I already started it. Months later, we were watching the season finale, and I fell asleep!!!!!! I watched the whole series, less the series finale. LOL I got a recap, and that was enough for me.

I did see the movie. It was eh. It was nice to have a few questions answered, but I thought it was too much information crammed into way too little time.

    3. Oh, and right now I'm up to season 2 of The Walking Dead. Since the first season was only 6 episodes though, that isn't saying much. hahaha

    4. I like to finish every series I start and do most, but Homeland and Oz my ocd told me to quit watching and do something better with my time. Homeland I got to season three and then it was just too painful to watch. Walking dead is great, saving season 5 so I can binge watch it all.

    6. Homeland is good for a while but agonizing after a season. So much whiny teenage angst and the nutcase being a nutcase, avoid it, ugg. The Walking Dead gets better and better, a bit meh in some of season 4, but it really picks up

  2. I haven't seen any of the episodes of Prison Break, but I always liked that type of premise in movies and the such. There use to be a whole bunch of Escape From Alcatraz type movies... and The Fugitive is kinda similar too.

  6. Out of those, I've seen some of Dexter but not even all of that. We have an awful habit of benging on two seasons of a show and then forgetting about it for about six months. Or in the case of Supernatural and Fringe, about a year. Oops.

  10. I haven't seen Prison Break. I've got Dexter on my must watch list but right now I'm finishing up House of Cards along with every reality show on television. I remember the days of trying to get the kiddos to sleep in their big beds - what a chore!!

  11. I can't believe you watch American Horror Story with your kiddo. That the commercials from that show scare me!
