Award: Liebster Blog

Happy Monday People!!!!!
..Oh and what a happy Monday it is...
You see, I won another award and you all know how that makes me smile!

Michael from The World As I See It graced me with the honor of the Liebster Award.
Have you checked out Michael's blog?  If not, you should!  He's very funny and very awesome.

Part of accepting this high honor is to answer a few questions.
Michael listed 10 questions for his winners to answer.
...and I'm totally not one to disappoint...

1.  What happens if a vegetarian get's bitten by a zombie?
They turn into a zombie, of course!
Just because they don't eat meat doesn't mean they are immune to zombie bites!!!

2.  If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?
I would love to be a traveling journalist for Glamour magazine.
To get to see the world, make my own hours, and write in my lifestyle bible?  Helllls yea!!

3.  Why is Justin Bieber so popular?
He has that "boyish" charm that tweens go crazy over.  The man who scouted him was a genius.
Ok, so I totally rock out to his song Boyfriend.  I liked the song before I knew he sang it.  I swear!!

4.  Who's better, Bon Scott or Brian Johnson?
I'm sorry, but who?
I'm off to Google for this one...

5.  What was the best period in history to live in?
I think that they all have their perks and downfalls.  I'm very happy to be here right now.
Sure things may be more complicated now, but things were complicated "then" in their own way too.

6.  Who's the greatest person in history?
I have no clue.  It's hard to judge people when you don't know them, but I'd like to make a shout to Benjamin Franklin for discovering electricity and Albert Einstein for figuring out how to use it.
I mean, without it I wouldn't be able to use my blow dryer or hair straightener!

7.  What was high school like for you?
High School was a great experience.  I was a quick learner and very social.
The only thing I wish is that I got more involved.  I loved to work more than doing school activities!

8.  Do you prefer movies, TV, music, or books?
I like them all!!  A good movie is awesome.  I live for a few TV shows.  Music gets me through the day, and there is nothing like a really good book to get sucked into.
If magazines were a choice, I would have totally picked that!!!  Helloo Glamour!

9.  Which superhero would you most like to be?
I would be Phoenix from x-men.  She's real powerful, smart, and super sexy!
For the record, my favorite superhero is the Wolverine, but I wouldn't want to be a man...

10.  If a genie granted you 3 wishes, how on earth did you get them and could I get one?
I'm assuming I got them from rubbing a lamp, and I probably wouldn't share.
Well, would you want me to lie!!??!!

Big thanks to Michael for granting me with this awesome award!!
...but don't think you're all off the hook...

Since you're all a ray of sunshine to me, I grant you all with the award.
Now, pick one of the 10 questions and answer them in the comments!

  1. Bon Scott was the lead singer for AC/DC. Brian Johnson replaced him after his death. You probably found this out after googling it. Great answers. I wouldn't share my wishes either.

    1. Yes, I discovered through google who they were. Thanks for reminding me ;) I know of AC/DC, but can't say that I know their music.

Who would share their wishes??? lol

  2. Einstein? I think you mean Edison.

  3. Frankly I think each new period is better to live in. Besides those in war zones, every yeach tech is more advanced, food is by the plenty, medicine comes out with more cures, and more methods of entertainment

    1. Yes, there are certainly perks to everything. Then again, I'm not huge on all the advancements in technology. I sort of envy the ways of the classic movies when people actually had to interact for entertainment :)

  4. I think Justin Bieber is so popular because he can really rock some skinny jeans. All the girls admire the look and the guys are secretly jealous LMAO!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. ah, yes, sister, me is so jealous that it makes me wanna burn all skinny jeans stores LOL

      Delete
    2. I'd challenge Mr. Bieber to a skinny jean off any damn day!!! Bring, it Justin!!! hahahaha

...burn skinny jean stores?? Well, skinny jeans really only look good when they are balanced out with a bulky pair of boots ;) I'm more of a boot-cut girl myself. lol

  5. 7. What was high school like for you?

    answer
I dropped out of highschool so I didn't really enjoyed it.
I think I wasn't a friendly person but I did try to get along with others and I still do now.
I don't have a job for now and I really want to work.

    1. Doesn't that sound lovely?? :) :)

  7. I'm not so sure about zombies and us vegetarians :) You do know that us vegetarians even have a less smelly sweat and poo when we go to the loo :) So I'm sure the zombies wouldn't smell us as easily as they would smell you carnivorous beasts :) Me smells like violets and daisies :)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. lol It's true, Dez!! Vegeterians have a must more pleasant smell which comes from cleaner insides. All those hormones, chemicals, and nastiness from eating another animal's rotting flesh would attract the zombies. Good thinking!!!

Violiets & Daisies? I wouldn't expect anything less from you :)

      Do you forgive me??

  9. I love (and agree with) your answer for which time period was best to live in. I find it funny when people say things like, "oh, I'd love to live in the times of Jane Austin, when things were simpler." Please. Spend 2-3 hours making dinner because you don't have modern conveniences and tell me how simple that is.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Right? I think there's something good about every generation, but I'm very happy to be where I am right now!!

Although, I can't pretend that I don't fantasize about wearing big, frilly dresses and curlers in my hair while speaking in a muffled Brittish accent. hahahaha

      Delete
    2. I ask that because everything about my personality is better suited to another time - my taste in music, my attitude towords drinking and partying and how I choose to spend my time to name a few things. I'm constantly told I was born at the wrong time.

      Delete
    3. To each their own! There's nothing wrong with that. But, you got the best of both worlds. You're able to listen to that music and enjoy modern conveniences!! :) :)

      Delete
  10. 1. If a vegetarian gets bit by a zombie, not only do you now have an unhappy zombie that wanted a bite with some protein, but you have a new zombie that will only bite tofu and soybeans that LOOK like zombies.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. lol Barfly...well, then in that case everyone should be a vegeterian just in case there is ever a zombie apocolypse. It would save many lives. All we would need to do is leave tofu in a bowl at the street corners at night :)

      Delete
  11. Hell no! I'd keep all the wishes for myself, I'd even find a way to get more and still wouldn't share. I like to tell the truth too, see! haha

Never knew who those two were either, and each time period does have it's perks, I'd prob go back to the 50's, but then I suppose the grass is always greener. And Phoenix, pfft I suppose, as long as it isn't plain old Jean Grey, as she is soooo boring.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. LMAO I don't think that anyone could honestly say that they would share their wish...that's not to say that I wouldn't make wishes for other people. I would use a wish to better the life of someone that I care about :)

lol No, no...not as Jean Grey, but the Phoenix does kick butter!!!

      Delete
    2. ...and by butter, I totally mean butt...

      hahahaha

  12. Wow, I'm so happy for you! It seems like you getting an award is becoming a weekly thing! It's so well deserved! I always start my day on the computer with stopping by your blog. It's so upbeat, interesting, and fun!

I was really surprised by your Phoenix answer, but what a great answer it was! I don't think the world is ready for Jax as an unstoppable force though!

The greatest person in history is of course Bill Belichick, who has brought us three Superbowl trophies, five AFC championships, 16 playoff wins, and 139 victories in the regular season. Plus, he drafted Aaron Hernandez :)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thanks, Ray...that really means a lot!! I'm glad that my blog can be a fun part of your morning routine :)

LOL Jax as an unstoppable force would be interesting. I think more people would be Pat's fans. hahaha

Bellicheck?? Ohh, you just won best comment for that part!! Of course drafting Hernandez qualifies him for that title. Why didn't I think of it myself?? lol

  13. I wonder if we could wish the genie to give all our friends three wishes. If so that could mean indefinite wishes all around. Maybe I need to start rubbing on lamps.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well there's a good loop hole!! I'm going to ask when I find one.

Well, before I start rubbing I need to find some lamps...hmm...unless a regular light lamp counts nowadays. LOL

  14. Very fun answers! I agree...I'm happy to live here and now. I'm too attached to modern conveniences! lol....

    1. Modern conveniences would be horrible to live without. I'm going to stick in the age of coffee pots and hair straighteners ;)

  15. Congrats on another award *yawn* Just kidding LOL =P

I agree, the best time to live is NOW!!!! Well, and the 80's! I loved the 80's (from what I remember, anyway ha ha ha!)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thanks, Elsie, for the very genuinue congratulations!! lol

LOL Ohh, the 80s were that great??? lol I've seen movies, but I don't remember the whopping 2 years that I was alive for it... ;)

  16. Congrats! Okay, I don't know who those people in #4 are, either...

    1. Thanks Gia!! I was totally feeling like the odd man out not knowing who they were... lol

  17. The Biebs is popular because he has a androgynous look going on - could be a girl, could be a boy... Just kidding. Maybe.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. lol Are you sure you're kidding??? Sounds kind of legit..

  18. Um, technicality, but Benjamin Franklin didn't discover electricity. He proved that lightning consisted of electricity. Edison did invent useful things, but he was a knob. Nikola Tesla was a genius. He invented shit, made from designs in his mind, that we have never been able to replicate. Go check out TheOatmeal.com for a good read on Tesla

I thought the Bon Scott/Brian Johnston to be a great question. Brian is good, but bon was very rock and roll.

    Who the hell shares wishes?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Oh my!! That's a whole lot of electricity knowledge. Now I know why I'm an accountant ;) hahaha Seriously, though, thanks for teaching me something!!! I'm heading over there now.

Pshh...no one in their right mind shares wishes!!! lol

  19. It may not seem like it, but this is a serious answer to the Justin Beiber question. He's so popular because he appeals to paedophiles. And this really is a very sad thing to know that this young man was chosen because his handlers knew that audience existed and knew about the enormous sums of money they could make from that demographic.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You really think that's how it started?? Wow, Anne...let's hope that's not really true! Just the fact that could be a reasonable hypothesis just goes to show how backwards our society is becoming. Sigh...

  20. I loved all of your answers and I think you would be perfect to work at Glamour based on your answers here alone!
As for an answer to a question above...I would say that my dream job would be social media so I could work from home but tweet for companies that I support and products that I love. I think it is something that I would be pretty good at.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thanks!! Ohh, too bad Glamour won't see that ;) lol

Social media sounds like a perfect fit for you!! Did you ever look into it?

    1. Let's go with what Tony Van Helsing said. lol

  22. I don't think I would share my wishes either, but I would use one of the wishes to wish for a genie so you could have your own wishes!

(If you can't wish for more wishes, you can wish for more genies, right? Or you can wish for the ability to wish for more wishes?)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. hahaha Ohh, if we could do that than we'd never run out and there would be wishes for everyone!! Wooo hooo lol

  23. Congrats on the award Jax. I can def see you as Phoenix. I would not want to irk you at your office.

I love your dream job answer (#2). I would want to travel around the world trying foods, swanky hotels, and spas. Oh and visiting all of the zoos.

  25. haha wouldn't it be the life to be a traveling journalist. THE BEST.

I would expect nothing less from you in high school, sounds like what I gather from you already!

I myself am surprised at how popular Justin Bieber is. But he is a cutie (in a little boy way) so good job to him.

    1. Right? Helllooo dream job!! Glamour, come find us!!! lol

Aw, thanks, Caitlin :) Yes, I was very fortunate in high school. :)

  27. I love your answer to the superhero question. I think the 20th century is the best time in history because it was such a great mix of cultures and zeitgeists and it spawned the most widespread inventions in history (the car, the aeroplane, the TV, the internet etc). I'm expecting Rusty to come and tell me that some of those things were invented before the 1900s.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thanks, Michael!! It would be so awesome to be Phoenix!! :)

Zeitgeists??? What's that?! I'm learning so much from this award ;)

Come on, Rusty!! Enlighten us!!! lol
